Goflyfishing AS was founded in 2021 by Karl Johan C.M Pétursson. Born into a fishing family from Northern Iceland,
Karl Johan quite literally has fishing in his blood. Growing up along the rugged Scandinavian coastline, he developed a deep connection to the sea and the life shaped by it.
He is a certified Fly Fishing guide and a member of the European Fly Fishing Association (EFFA).
He caught his first Sea Trout at the age of nine on the coast of Denmark , a defining moment that sparked a lifelong passion. Since then, Sea Trout fishing has been more than a pastime, it’s been a way of life built on challenge, learning, and shared experiences.
For Karl Johan, the true beauty of Sea Trout fishing lies in its unpredictability. The sea is never the same twice, and no angler ever truly masters it. Each cast, each tide, and each season brings new lessons, new memories, and often new friendships formed along the coastline.
All Karl Johan wants is to share what he sees along the coast , the beauty, the challenge, and the calm that comes with it, and he wants you to experience the same. To make that possible, he has handpicked a team across Scandinavia, each with strong local roots and years of experience, dedicated to helping you catch your dream fish.
