Goflyfishing AS was founded in 2021 by Karl Johan C.M. Pétursson, born into a fishing family from Northern Iceland.

With fishing quite literally in his blood, Karl Johan grew up along the rugged Scandinavian coastline, developing a deep connection to the sea and the life shaped by it.

He is a certified Fly Fishing Guide and a member of the European Fly Fishing Association (EFFA).

He caught his first Sea Trout at the age of nine on the coast of Denmark, a defining moment that sparked a lifelong passion. Since then, Sea Trout fishing has been more than a pastime; it has been a way of life built on challenge, learning, and shared experiences.

But Goflyfishing is more than a one man’s story.

We are a family-owned company built on shared values, trust, and dedication. For us, guiding is not simply about arranging a trip, it is about welcoming you into our extended fishing family.
